Vicky Nguyen (she/her), Human Resources & Operations Manager

Vicky manages all things related to people operations as Sunstone’s first Human Resources and Operations Manager. Her career has always been people-focused, with experience at creative agencies and in event planning, grocery retail, municipal civil service, and aviation.

Grounded in doing good work for the good of others, she's always looking for ways to improve existing processes and challenge “this is how we’ve always done it”. She supports equity in and out of the workplace and enjoys making space for people and making people feel valued. Before landing at Sunstone, Vicky spent nine years with the City of Austin where she managed programs and built HR tools that impacted and supported more than 17,000 City employees.

Vicky graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Communications Studies. She’s been making pottery since 2020 and regularly adds new hobbies to her ever-growing collection. Texas-born and -raised, she splits her time between her home state and California.
