Kim Parker Gordon (she/her), Senior Vice President
Kim leads Sunstone's California portfolio, bringing more than 15 years of experience driving narrative change on today's most critical social issues. She combines deep strategic communications expertise with a proven ability to move public discourse — from shaping issue advocacy to building coalitions that make campaigns resonate.
Before joining Sunstone, Kim served as Vice President of Media Relations & Public Affairs for the LA28 Olympic & Paralympic Games, where she spearheaded a global communications strategy to celebrate the return of the Summer Games to Los Angeles. At Netflix, she spent six years leading documentary publicity, crafting issue-driven campaigns that shifted public conversations on climate change, criminal justice, and social equity — earning recognition from the Oscars, Emmys, and Peabodys along the way. She also served as Colorado Press Secretary for President Obama's re-election in 2012, helping deliver a decisive win in a critical battleground state.
Kim holds an MSc with Merit in Comparative Politics from the London School of Economics; and earned her bachelor's degree in Public Policy at Duke University, along with an executive certificate in Environmental Communications for Behavior Change. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband and exuberant son, Major.
